Recent FPS Drop Issues

Good evening,

I've been a long-time FFXIV enjoyer and I've recently come across something that I haven't really ever experienced before: frequent and noticeable FPS drops.

It only seems to happen in FFXIV. I can run any other game just fine and without issue - and I am not quite sure what to do to fix it.

I am uninstalling and reinstalling XIV to see if that fixes the problem but I am concerned that it won't. Is there anything else that might be recommended?

Okay, so after the reinstall:

I am still experiencing small drops in FPS, from 60 to 30 for a little while before going back to 60 again.

- Platform (Playstation 4 or 5, Steam/Windows, or Mac)
- Do you have any firewalls or anti-virus software installed on the machine if are using a Mac or Windows PC? If so, which ones do you have installed?
- Does any specific error message/code occur when the issue happens?
- Does the issue happen in a specific area/zone, certain character, time frame or when a specific visual affect occurs? Please provide further details if able.
