QoL Improvement: 2nd Mount Speed boost for ShB/EW areas

Disclaimer:
I'm well aware that mount speed has no effect on flying. I also doubt Square Enix's plan is to hold the second boost hostage behind the SDS Fenrir paywall.

Would it be possible to get the second mount speed boost for Shadowbringers and Endwalker areas now?

This is a request from those of us who like to travel on land, use the on-ground running animations of our mounts more often, and appreciate the pretty, natural visuals from close up.

A community team response regarding this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading!

I've been wondering about these. I assume they either couldn't because of covid or decided they were pointless.

I'm guessing very few utilize ground travel after they can fly, so perhaps it's just not on their to-do list to add more mounted speed on the ground. I can't say I'm against it, but I view it as something that should probably be a low priority.

I may not know all the details about game development and memory use, but I really can't see this being that big of a dev time investment.

All they'd need to do is have the game give the character an area-specific speed boost once said character is done with the MSQ in an area. They've retrospectively added this to ARR, HW and SB, so the code for doing it already exists in the game, too.

So yeah, should be pretty painless to implement.

So.. you want to use the inefficient running paths and constrain yourself to the ground to enjoy the running animations.. but not that much... because you want to do it faster?

Didn't say whether it'd be a lot of work or not. I just don't think it's worth their time. You disagree and that's fine, but that is my opinion.

I'm just curious that you purposefully want to use a slower method (ground path following is ALWAYS slower than flying since you have to navigate terrain) to "enjoy" it.. yet you say you want to be able to do it faster. It sounds contradictory. You outright state a desire for the inefficient method to "appreciate the visuals" but ask to have them fly by faster.

The areas you can appreciate at full speed can be appreciated from a short distance off the ground as well. It's not like you CANNOT fly just a few feet above the ground. Heck, that might even be more immersive since it requires more attention to surroundings.

You wanna enjoy the scenery you can, but why do you want to enjoy it... faster?

It isn't a particularly big ask.. I just don't understand it.

The point of being able to ride on the ground is RP and it is nice to be able to RP travel on the ground but for this to be as fast as flying. I do it for quests.
