yet another post complaining about 6.1 samurai

I always hear SE is different from other devs, they listen to their players. well seems that was a lie. its been 2 weeks since they destroyed samurai, its been 2 weeks of complains on the official forums were the vast majority of players want the changes reverted. yet SE does NOTHING. they dont even acknowledge the complaints. the 6.11 patch notes where they buff midare by 40 potency is just a slap in the face. i dont care if my jobs is 1.5% stronger or weaker. i want it to feel good to play. midare still being 20 potency weaker then before 6.1 AND kaiten is no longer there to buff it. it feels WEAK it no longer feels good to press the once most satisfying button in the game (imo).


the reasons they give are bullshit. button bloat? there are way better ways to reduce buttons that many of us have listed (combining shoha's, combining guren/senei, combining ikoshoten/ogi). action (apm) bloat? this change did almost nothing. and these things could have been adressed by just adding the kaiten potency buff onto the skills make midare 990 potency intead off 660 (then adjust for the always crit) instead they added the dps loss spread out across all skills. and in the proccess you lose the whole feel of the job. it used to be about building up all your stickers and then getting that dopamine hit when you press the finisher. now it just feels weak a shit. i spend 8 gcd's building to a button that barely does more dmg then my normal combo. what they really did is lowered the peaks in samurai dps wich made it feel good. this is not what they said their goal was. so either they lied to us or they just fcked up majory, and now they remain silent.

i have yet to see any1 make a good argument on why 6.1 sam is better then 6.0. yes i see clueless people and trolls saying, "who cares?" or "i dont mind" or "i think its fine". but no1 has actualy given a solid argument why 6.1 is better then 6.0 and i think it doesn't exist. 6.1 sam is dogshit compaired to 6.0, yes its playable, yes you can clear content with it. but its just not fun and feels crap to play if you played 6.0 sam at all.

side tangent: i am also salty they nerfed SAM pvp, it was the only place it felt ok to play SAM. and even tho the nerf was probebly deserved i am mad they "fixed" SAM in pvp but just left it as a broken husk in pve.

I just hope we get some response before 6.2. Buffing Midare was just reaction to meme rotation where you would just use Yuki and Hagakure to spam Shinten and only use Midare when you had Kaeshi, so it doesnt even seem like they even think there is something wrong with 6.1 SAM. Considering how many negative posts were on the forums, I expected more than just potency buffs. I guess we just keep voicing our opinions, and hope for the best.
