So a tiny bandage to the huge nerf to Samurai???

Midare Setsugekka: Potency has been increased from 600 to 640.
Kaeshi: Setsugekka: Potency has been increased from 600 to 640.
Shoha: Potency has been increased from 500 to 520.

… Really? Just… really? They didn’t even need to buff the Namikiri attacks at all! They are still even a full two minutes cooldown even though their damage doesn’t warrant that long of a wait!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Samurai now (at least with my gear) does far less damage now with better gear than compared to my Reaper who has weaker gear. After switching between the two, I have seen my Reaper does over 25% more damage with his attacks, and his transformation with Enshroud does FAR more damage than Namikiri does in total damage, and it can be used very often (at lvl 90).

I know people are saying it was tested and that it only does 3% less damage than before, but I can’t argue with the numbers I’ve seen myself. Such as a normal attack for Samurai would do about 7k (give or take), 12k when it crits, while with Reaper it’s over 9k, about 15 when it crits. The same difference in damage can be seen with literally all of the attacks.

This is honestly pretty sad overall. Because of the changes barely anyone on my server is playing Samurai anymore. They’ve mostly switched to other classes.

In the beginning, I meant to say they didn’t even buff Namikiri at all. Spellcheck on my phone changed it a bit. >.>

The potency changes weren't to address our concerns. It was to kill the meme rotation from being too close to the normal rotation.

And they thought it would fix it. Nah man, you ruin my class, i dont give a dam about proper rotation. I just go for meme rotation till kaiten back. At least meme rotation look funny enough that wont make me go asleep playing sam

You cant really compare RPR and SAM like that. Yes, RPR has bigger hits now, but SAM has lower GCD so you will be seeing those hits more often and it will even out in a long run, or SAM will even come out on top. That being said, I really wish they would revert all those changes back to 6.08 since it was way more enjoyable for me, and judging by most of the feedback, also for most of the actual SAM mains.
