Brand of elements and unstable elements.

Put brand of an element on the bar. unstable elements never happen to begin with. soon as you take off the brand of element, unstable element occurs. then when you put it back on it doesnt happen. and so on and so on and so on.

The secret? (Control)

The stat Control determines how often/severely synths can and will spark (or in player terms, blow the fuck up in a shower of colors). Lower your control stat, and your synth with spark more often, raise it and it will spark less often.

Also, I can assure you as someone leveling ALL crafting jobs currently, element destabilization happens whether or not you have a brand skill equipped.

Also destabilization only occurs on failures.
Believe me, my Alchemist VERY happy she took a trip to Weaver to get Brand of Lightning, goddamn destabilizations have been screwing me up all the time.

Well actually the brand skills stabilize any element, the only difference is when it's not the element of the brand you only get 20 Quality, when it is the element of the brand, you get 100.

(Still, that extra 80 quality is totally worth leveling Weaver to 20 for xD. )

Oh, yeah, that's why I took Weaver instead of any other, because Alchemist gets a lot of Lightning destabilization
