Question about players who just were determined winners of housing lottery.

I really hope they can fix the issue with the number 0 being picked as winner. I was lucky, and I won my plot. I have decorated my house now and spent hours on it. Does anyone know if they will be adjusting the results of ALL plots? Like, is there a possibility that those who won their house will lose the house they got? I've just been confused about this. Sorry if this is a duplicate post, I couldn't find any information about this.

They made an update for JP servers hours ago, no translation up but google does an ok job and he made clear that it was all perfectly fair and explained the system. He made zero mention of taking plots away, as I expected. Relax ^^

"As mentioned in the text of the notice, the problems that are currently occurring are not 100% occurring, and there are cases where the lottery is done normally internally and the land purchase right is granted correctly"

If he is saying it is done correctly, then not a hope in hell for those wishing we get our houses taken ;P

Lets not be toxic in how we word things, alright

I reread my comment and the only bit that could be remotely inflammatory is "hell" hardly toxic. Would say it is far more toxic those people who wish to snatch houses away from rightful winners, no?
Very weak definition of toxic.

That is wall of words and text simply to say "we are working on it" and am glad for the transparency.

Now while am happy it is being addressed I have three fcs over here that were denied their houses due to a bug. We do not personally care how long it takes to fix the zero better issue we just want the houses we rightfully won. Perhaps I will be required to post there or send message directly with methods for auto allocating land to bug zero sufferers.

More or less the post says the real winners are saved in the database, the bug is on client side, they will award the houses but they are still trying to find the root cause of this bug.

Not all of the houses were rightfully won it seems? As some people could purchase multiple tickets. I wonder what's to be done about those :<

There is no need to post there and tell them how to do their job. The lottery allocated the plot to the winner, but the client just displays zero hiding the winner. Just wait, then when they fix all the bugs, including the zero bug, you can check if you won. If you were the only person to bid then it's going to be a certainty. If more than one bid, then the result is a secret until then.

They 101% won't rollback. How they will deal with the people who removed the money isn't known. I can imagine a few ways. They could pick something else too, more likely.

* people who withdrew are SOL (I think this is unlikely)
* When the fix the client, it has a new option added "Please deposit xxx gil to finalise and buy"
* The GMs do it manually
* You get the plot for free
* Everyone is refunded and we all get the plot for free
* Maybe another.

We have to wait and see, but it's good to know they are working, and interestingly they admit it's the biggest issue they've ever faced.

It doesn't seem from the EN version of the post that they will do anything to people who won a plot. And they likely wouldn't. After all, those people didn't know what was going on, so it'd be kind of weird to penalize them just because everyone else had a problem.

I will say that I am quite pleased with the result. Not only did they break down what their code was meant to be doing, they also proposed issues as to what was causing the problem. Thankfully, it does seem that Square does have the logs of the lotteries for each plot, so everything should be fine in the end. They just need time to figure out what's causing the issue, patch it, and fix their initial lottery results. They actually showed transparency as people asked for. This is a good thing. I know it may be minor, doesn't seem like much, but it's a good statement. (and yes I'm saying this so people who are angry can be calm at this situation, without also sounding like I'm injecting the thread with toxic positivity)
