Our Own Avatars?

I noticed we cant add our own avatars. When will we be able to do so?

Lol! I was trying real hard to find a way to put my own avatar up. Hopefully this will be something that we can do soon.

I agree, we need our customized avatar because it allows us to well, make ourselves unique from each other, since people would more than likely remember posters by their avatar, rather than the username, especially if the username isn't so unique.

I feel like there's no uniqueness among posters with the lack of custom avatar. At least I'm glad we have signatures!

This is still the beta version of the forum. Since in the avatar setting screen it say next to the "No avatar" option: Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.

I'm guessing we will be able to upload custom avatar in a not so far future.

From the earlier announcement, it sounds as though we'll be able to link our characters directly to the forum and post using them as our avatars.. Kind of like how it is on WoW's forum, I'd wager. I don't think there will be much need for custom avatars at that point, but I agree at the moment the options are a little bland.

WoW the last I checked is making a bloody fortune, whereas this game can't even hold a subscription fee right now without the risk of it collapsing in onto itself. I don't think SE taking a nod or two from WoW at this point would be such a bad idea. (Besides, my reference was to the forums - not the game. I found that to be quite funny. I think people are just uncomfortable with the success that WoW has achieved. WoW definitely isn't my cup of tea, but they do have some things in that game that are rather good.

That's actually typical of Vbulletin, it will say that even if you don't have custom avatar on, so it's not surprising.

And can we please leave the bloody "It's from Wow, Ew No" stuff out? -.-

I typed out a response but Suirieko made a good point. So...
I want an animated avatar.
