Centurio Hunts Discord Server / Hunts in General

Normally, community driven things like the Centurio Hunts Discord is something I would wholeheartedly back and cheer on and I have done for the most during the last two expansions.

However now it's just a selfish mess. We all know why we do them. To get the Nuts so we don't have to run the raid every week, we can upgrade our tome gear fairly quickly. Plus it's good fun. Or it should be.

I've just joined a Hunt Train (I saw who the conductor was and groaned - because I knew what they're like, but tried all the same as it was the first one I've been able to join for a while). 1st zone was fine, as expected...then came tp'ing to a new zone...lots of congestion....lots of people stuck. By the time we tp'd the first hunt was dead...second half way dead...onto the next zone...congestion again.

I'm grateful for people taking the time to scout the hints and put these together but there has to be a point where you have to think of the wider player base who join the discord server that you create. Is it too much to ask for people to wait a minute or two before engaging the hunt so ppl can tp and get there, without being told to 'wait for the slow train' 'or make your own train'.

I know one conductor if I see them I just don't bother going.. they just zoom through without the slightest care to wait even 30 seconds for people to keep up. Just becomes frustrating so I just join trains marked as slow ^^

I think they do mention if the Hunt Train will be slow or fast. At least that's what I remember from some of the notices posted by the bot in there. It still does seem kind of crappy though, but I guess conductors just want to lead a line of people adequate enough to bring down the enemies. Some might not want to bother with waiting and organizing minutely.

I think one thing that really gripes me about that server is that no one is aiding in inviting to the linkshells. I mean, that's my experience at least. Still, at least the bot is a thing so I can know of Trains from there...

My favorite is when you are so behind due to congestion to the area you miss everything. If I see there are way too many people after the first teleport I just leave at that point. I can't do anything about the server telling me an area is to congested and wont let me participate.

Problem is they do mostly fast trains during the day, the slow trains are often way late at night. With so many speed trains it just feels like they are just worried about serving themselves. the rest of the people chasing after them are just there to help them kill it. They don't care about people getting to participate, just that they themselves get their kills in.

Just a reminder that it is all by design by how hunt marks work. Reminds me of a certain thread about how people putting in effort spawning hunts were screwed over big time because people were quick to pull

I'm the opposite. I won't join super slow hunt trains or ones that want a break halfway. We have things to do. Not spend 2-3hrs doing one train. Waiting a minute for congestion is fine but some want people to sit there for 5mins in each instance. Gross.
