Steps:
1. See a full GP bar on your MIN
2. Queue into and complete a Crystalline Conflict as any class
3. Notice your GP is now much lower

This is a shame! I want to use the PvP while waiting for gathering, but this makes it impossible to do so and still gather effectively.
