Blue Magic in FFXIV

Blue Magic has been my favorite ability in the FF series ever since FFV. The Blue Mage job works quite well in FFXI, and I think it would be a great addition to the currently available classes in FFXIV. Being able to use abilities like Impish Incantations, Alpine Fury, and Stellar Flame would be cool and make it a versatile and unique class. Plus, if SE decides to introduce traditional FF jobs and job-specific gear the Blue Mage would have visually appealing and distinct equipment. Any thoughts?

If they change the classes to classic FF Jobs that is one of the jobs I am hoping for. That, rdm and bst. Loved those jobs.

Dude I reather not have them implement ANY blue magic what so ever until they fix their current spell/wepaonskill animations. I don't want to see them burn Blue Mage to the ground right off the bat.

Besides what is the point in implementing Blue Mage when it's going to get absorbed by every other class....

In Beta someone was able to use the Blu Magic spells. The dats are in the game allready. They had a video of it on youtube. It was awsome to see. the video was taken down but if you search the internet you might be able to find it.

And how is that any different then in FFXI, I used all the blu mage spells on Rdm when soloing things where /nin was not optimal.

What is wrong with the spell and skill animations? I haven't noticed anything bad except them being overused. How would it get absorbed by every other class? In all the FF games that blue magic has been in there is always abilities that no other job can replicate.

I would love a bluemage!
