personal plots just got KILLED. 6 wards in the entire game each district.
Rest in pieces personal housing, they really want people to either be in an FC or buy an apartment I guess. Or just stay under the rock. They just seriously screwed over new players or ones without a house yet. FC's win again

This is on Aegis server. Watch those RMT Dummy FCs going to change leader once they cashed in. 30 Days wait will not stop them as they already found a way to bypass it.

The starting line is 6 personal houses. Purely because FC Housing actually has exclusive systems tied to it, whereas personal does not. It will balance out as things change down the line. Then your argument will swap to "They dont care about FCs anymore".

It's like what occured (on mateus) when the new wards came out. They were FC-only, yet hardly anyone capitalized. Once they were allowed to the public, people complained that they couldn't get FC anymore.

Seriously, it's almost like people won't be satisfied, no matter what.

It's actually six wards for personal housing. You can count them in the picture.

Maybe because this is objectively terrible system they refuse to do anything about except stick band-aid of band-aid on it. By the time they reassessing those plots, most will be entirely gone. So yes, they is directly making it incredibly difficult for players to obtain a personal house likely to force people into Apartments; a system which is little more than a glorified FC room that costs more.

A better solution would be making those systems no longer exclusive by implementing a Greenhouse or Workshop alternative. Nevertheless, that isn't why they're doing this. It's to promote FCs because they know damn well their awful system will never accommodate the amount of players in any given server. So they're trying to accomplish it in a roundabout way by essentially saying, "you're apart of a FC. Therefore, you do have a house!" It's bad no matter how you slice it.

It's good to see plots won't get wasted but new players on certain realms absolutely get screwed by this. And there's a goodly amount of them right now.

You mean like how housing has exclusive perks not open to non home owners? You better hope Island Sanctuaries have gardening or people salty for those reasons are going to riot.

Well as a personal would be owner I'll cross my fingers there. All I know is there were like 3 FC people to 20+ camping plots whenever I looked....and 2 of those people were in the same FC. Feel bad for them, but still.

Housings only "exclusive perks" to non-house owners is the ability to cross-breed plants. Something that has already been proven several times over that people don't really care about. Apartments can grow everything a house can. Just not MAKE the seeds themselves.

FC housing in particular actually has Airships, Submarines and the FC workshop. All of these being systems that can make you quite a fair bit of gil and unlock housing items only obtainable through those systems.

And no. 50/50 would be fine, but I can expect people would yell about it anyways. Because, sadly, like I posted before. Fc-only wards were essentially untouched until personals got access, then they got filled up. The FC-house hunters only complaining AFTER they lost the "Fc-only" access to the wards, despite not capitalizing on said fc-only access..

I want to say that while I basically agree with you, there's some missing context. OG FC-Only housing was super expensive, given the game's economy at the time. SE promised a personal housing that would be separate and cheaper, then went "syke! Individuals can buy FC housing now and its price will be the same." Obviously cost is not an issue anymore but... availability has been a nonstop issue. And now, for individuals, that availability has been quartered, so... yeah. Smooth SE, smooth.

All problems stem from a supply issue that's as bad as real life real estate. SE could redesign it, or copy a certain other MMO that has wards but adds new ones automatically when they get close to filling, but... well, here we are. Playing whackamole with one problem just to get another.

Honestly, with how everyone was pushing for lotto because "it's more fair", I'm glad they did this balancing of FC to personal wards. Personal houses are the majority of plots right now, so it's fair they're giving FCs a chance with this. They can change it later, but for now, they're balancing the distribution.

Every member of an FC, provided they're given the permission, can enter the lottery however. For example, got an FC with 50 members? You can have up to 50 "tickets" in the lottery, while individuals max out at... 1.

It already vastly favors FCs.

While I *personally* don't care as much about it, I'm sure the mentioning of Thavnairian Onion I've been hearing over and over again must have been my imagination, as is the really high cost usually caused by supply/demand and time consumed to get something...But you're right, of course.

I'm aware. What I'm saying is you're both overselling how much people don't care about housing perks out there, and *maybe* overselling how many people with an FC house religiously do that.

That would be like saying "the best solution would be to not add wards in the first place, because it doesn't fix everyone's problems". Sure people would complain about 50/50 housing. Sure they would complain about instanced (and honestly I think people are underestimating logistical problems there...even beyond server resources), but would the complaints be as numerous? Or as understandable?
