Question about who can buy plots

While reading "Regarding the Sale of Land in Empyreum and the New Housing Lottery System" I noticed that the screenshot of the placard said "Available to free companies. Unavailable to private buyers."

Was wondering if first crack at 6.1 is going to FC's only?

Or is this related to "Housing areas are divided into plots available for purchase by either free companies or private buyers, and a plot’s usage is restricted accordingly." (also in that same lodestone topic) and that houses will be limited to one type of buyer?

Actually, from what I have read from this page, distribution of FC-only and personal-only plots may be much more granular than what you have said. Within a ward it may very well be that there will be some plots listed as FC-only while others may be listed as personal-only. The only way to be sure is to check the placard of a plot you may be interested in.

I wouldn't be surprised if private housing was limited to smalls only while medium and large were designated FC only.

The one thing SE can't get right.

I keep saying it because it's what I keep seeing from different angles: SE is very Blizzard-esque when it comes to housing. It's advertising in bad faith when it's suggested that FFXIV has in-game housing.

Except the game does have housing?

There's no bad faith involved.

Apartments and FC rooms are housing even if they aren't a *house*. There are houses available too even if not everyone can get one. It's not like they're making a Garrison and calling it a house...
