Multiple Instanced Interiors for Plots

Why is this not a thing?

I mean, Yoshi P wants neighborhood/social things for the Housing districts. Meaning more people around. Housing is severely limited at the moment.

There are only what..7,200 houses per world? And like 21,600 apartments, if I did the math right. (Should be 180 apartments per Ward x 24 Wards x 5 Housing areas)

But why not just redo the yards and remove them. Get rid of the outdoor stuff entirely. Change some of the necessary pieces to indoor items.

And make each plot host like 5 instanced interior plots. More if it's not a strain on the resources.

Think about it. That is 60 plots per Ward but 5 actual houses per plot instead. That is 36,000 houses total per World, compared to 7,200 now.

Even simply allowing 3 instanced interiors per plot is 21,600 houses. 3x as many as we have available per world now.

And Yoshi would be satisfied, because the amount of people in the Housing districts would significantly go up. It becomes much more of a neighborhood then.

And the system is already in place to handle it. When you go to the door in an FC house, you get the option. Go to your room. Go to Workshop. Go to another room.

That could easily be used on the door to plots. Go to your house. Go to another house. Just like apartments.

ESO does something like this, instead of neighbourhoods they have a single house exterior in the world, but the principle is the same in that the interior is instanced. People can collect them all too, if they can afford it.

For as dead as neighbourhoods are now they might as well make it one ward of housing exteriors and all instanced interiors. At least this way all fifteen people in the residential area at one time (maybe a bit of hyperbole but seriously every ward I have ever been in is dead) would be in visual range of each other.

The grandfathered in people could keep their houses, the whole ward hoarders could keep theirs too. The only cost would be not being able to place some outdoor furniture but I think everyone would agree that is a small cost to solve the housing problem entirely.

BDO does it too. It's a bit ugly as you open the door and see the last person's furniture for a moment before your's loads.

But honestly, people want to garden. If you remove the gardens, then they can't.

Better to make the wards 100% for FCs, apartments expandable, and fully instanced housing like rift/EQ2/so on on top.
