Ishgard Housing Details are Out

Article was posted today. It seems to detail on everything: the division among wards/subdivisions, the lottery process, and prerequisites to enter the lottery. This bit seems to be confusing me a bit though.

Worst thing to happen to housing yet.

Its what a bunch of people wanted. Lets see how long it takes for those same people to call for something else.

The new system is unfair. But the current system is also not fair and prefers botters and nolifers. So we will see. :)

Seems to me that anyone with tons of gil and/or multiple characters with tons of gil will just run around and place entries on every plot they can afford to do so on where as sprouts with barely enough gil to make a play for a single plot just get shafted by this system. This is a week-old, soaked bandaid on what is already a very broken system. It says "one lottery entry per lottery period" but it doesn't specify if that's per plot or just one entry period.

Was hoping to relocate my house from Goblet to the new housing area but any hopes on that are just now gone pretty much. Waited for ishgard housing for years but RIP I guess.

I think you only get to enter on one plot, plus they take the full price in gil and keep it until the lottery ends.


Of course after that, if you don't win, there'll be almost no plots left to lottery anyway.

Join the club. I've been wanting an Ishgard house since the day I first reached Foundation over six years ago. Now I have one chance to relocate mine otherwise I get to try again in a year when they, maybe, add three wards. I'm sorry, but people need to stop making excuses for this terrible housing system. Both the current iteration and this new lottery system are embarrassing when they constantly brag at how successful FF has been.
