Support for FCFS housing in 6.1

I have quite a few friends that are disappointed that FCFS will only be instated if there's enough demand for it. Many people I know were looking forward to the housing rush as it was likely going to be their best/only shot at owning a house.

Since the devs are looking for feedback, I'd like to show support for a few wards being FCFS. Even if it was 2 FC wards and 2 personal wards, I think that would be enough of a consolation prize for lower population servers. At least that way, people would have the opportunity to be able to log in and buy a house, rather than leave it to random chance. Simply something so all the people ready and eager for FCFS will have their chance. (And failing that, they can enter the lotto.)

All that being said, if they could separate FC workshops from requiring housing, that would be a great boon for smaller FCs that haven't been able to get a house.

I’m sorry but no. All lottery will be the way to go. Everyone will get a fair chance for once. Won’t have to wake up at 3-4am to try to beat the rush and risk the game crashing constantly. No thank you. Lottery only please.

People have jobs, and kids and lives outside of this game and it would be nice to be able to enjoy them all.

No thanks, I'd like to have a chance at owning a house and getting access to the exclusive housing features. I don't want to miss out on housing because I didn't wake up at 4am or sit around clicking a sign for 12 hours.

There is nothing wrong to make a few wards FCFS. 24 wards… 1,440 houses just from Ishgard.

If they can’t make at least 3 wards/ 180 homes FCFS, then SE is not listening to its players. If you don’t agree, we’ll you are just greedy people. Three wards out of 24 is only 12.5%, not counting if they open new wards up in the four other cities.

I also support full lottery.

It's clear from the forum responses that the majority is supporting full lottery and if SE is listening to feedback as you say, full lottery will be the way to go.

Besides, there are no new wards opening in other district at all in 6.1.

Also, unless there is a system to block players who opt for FCFS from entering the lottery, there should not be FCFS wards at all since this would imply such players would have multiple chances at securing a house, compared to lottery players who only have one chance.

Nothing is stopping you from participating in FCFS. You have a choice, either you do or you don’t. I guess that 12 and half percent is to much for some people.

The problem is that some people do NOT have a choice with regards to FCFS. They can't participate in it at ALL due to real life issues, computer connections, whatever. If FCFS excludes some people from being able to participate, then it is NOT a fair system and should not be used for ANY ward.
