The addition of automatic gear drops for the leveling dungeons was a really wonderful change, and while that wouldn't necessarily be possible for the Capstone dungeons, I do think that having coffers for it would be a nice compromise!
Capstone dungeons (IE. Lvl 50/60/70/80) are kind of a bugger to run over and over trying to get certain gear to drop. Adding some coffers in the boss chests would probably make them a lot more friendly without stunting the queue too badly.
I've never heard this term capstone before. I must know the origins.
Since saying 50/60/70/80 roulette is kind of a mouthful, folks in my FC (and others, I've noticed) took to referring to that roulette as Capstone (defined as: 'the high point : crowning achievement'), which seems fitting for the level cap dungeons for each xpac.
Honestly they should end individual loot drops an make all drops coffer.. its a pain grinding the new 24man for that last piece of gear and never seeing it.. same with dungeons for glam.
A simple coffer like they do from MSQ rewards that opens on any class would be so much better an easier
For current dungeons it makes sense that they want people to keep running them and not get the right gear for free on their first try, but for older dungeons it really needs to be a thing. Either guaranteed dungeon drops or coffers would be great.
Perhas they can implement gear drops for the dungeons and coffers for the alliance raids? Even if they stick to mostly individual drops and just have coffers in the final boss loot, or something.
Just some kind of RNG-proofing, somehow. Please. ;_;
I suspect having coffers for every single dungeon could mean adding a ton of items to the game. But I'd be all for outdated endgame dungeons behaving like leveling dungeons where you are guaranteed a piece of your current class at the end of the dungeon.
