Miss aligned structures in old Sharlayan

I just found something and now it haunts me and I can not make it unseen.
It seems like the walkway is to far to the left.
If it gets moved a yalm to the right then the pillars on both sides would be standing perfectly on the ground and not floating in the air.

I expected more from the architects of Sharlayan.

On a more serious note, does this kind of lack of modeling oversight happen frequently in XIV? I recall seeing the Gunblade relic had a poorly mapped texture, but beyond that I don't recall seeing any other gaffs.

Well... honestly, I appreciate imperfections in architecture like this. A lot of buildings have asymmetrical issues even today, not to mention historical ones. So it is eerily normal? vs computerized perfection lol.

The fact that I can't get a good look at the statue at the end from the front.. what a waste..

It's actually quite common - I remember the infamous floating bottle in Pearl Lane in Ul'dah for instance that remained unfixed for years until it quietly was in a patch (there was a bottle that was meant to be lying on the ground in Pearl Lane but actually was not positioned right and so it looked like it was floating just above the ground instead, with it's shadow clearly giving it away, it was pretty jarring if you knew what to look for - it even showed up in a trailer video SE released prior to ARR's launch, one of the 'Tour of Eorzea' videos).

A similar misaligned object was a book that was part buried in the mantlepiece of the fireplace inside the tavern at the Observatorium in Coerthas Central Highlands, but unlike the floating bottle I don't think that was ever fixed alas. So unfortunately I don't hold out much hope that this oversight would be fixed either, especially given the volume of new modelling work needed to correct it.

I wasn't aware there was lore about the person who made this wrong. Where do I read more about Ms. Aligned?
