Removing Miniature Aetheryte

I think the outdoor furnishing "Miniature Aetheryte" should be removed from the game or at least be changed to a nonfunctional decoration. This furnishing allows the ability to teleport to your house. However, it takes 1 slot of furnishing allowance for outdoor decorating. I don't see anyone ever choosing to walk to their house every single time and those that might are in the far minority. We should just be able to teleport to our houses without the need of the aetheryte, besides we already do to the apartments. As it currently stands one of your outdoor furnishings is pretty much required to be this miniature aetheryte if you want any chance of actually using the house efficiently.

I know a similar argument can be made towards things like the "Moogle Letter Box". However, I feel the letter box is way less important then actually getting to your house and is something that's at least more optional in my opinion.

I wish this was true for every item with general functions. Aetherites, mailboxes, message books and orchestrions.
I agree though - especially outdoors, furnishing slots are so valuable, that placing an aetherite or mail box never feels good.

I'd be happy to see the Aetheryte functionality automatically come with a house. We don't interact with the item to gain access to its function, after all. But I wouldn't want it removed as a furnishing. It's one of my favorites for creating outdoor lighting effects (there are times I wish I could have a couple placed).

Players would probably end up divided over things like the mail box, message books and orchestrions. Many want them displayed, and they want to be able to place them in specific locations. It would make less sense to have their function separated from their "form".

Yes, I'd very much agree with this. Especially if they're not planning on increasing the outdoor furniture limits, then we really can use every space we can get.

Hmm, interesting thought, if it worked like a mini aetheryte in the cities, and allowed us to jump from home to places around the city, like the leatherworker's guild, or the Aft Castle, or the Weaver's guild.

But outside of Lore, no reason to keep them. Free the slot for decoration please.
