The Triceratops and The Hunt mounts obtention suggestion for Endwalker and beyond.

So we have three The Hunt mounts: the Centurio Tiger, which is not that hard to get because you can go to any S or A rank. The Victor, which is fairly easy to obtain now because of instances, but the next suggestions could help with the Victor mount when instances disappear too. And finally, the Triceratops. This one is very hard and grindy to obtain nowadays.

Killing only Shadowbringers hunts that are not spawning as fast as the Endwalker hunts (thanks to instances) feels a bit unfair. Sure, it was easier when the Shadowbringers' locations instances were up, but the new people that are playing and falling in love with the game that would like to aim to get these achievements will have a hard time trying to get in with The Hunt content without instances in every location.

What can we do to help with that? Well, I'm not talking about reducing the 1000 S ranks or bringing back Shadowbringers instances, but I would like to suggest the next points:

1. Make the S ranks spawn faster: that way people would not have to wait more than three days to kill a Shadowbringers S rank again. This can be applied to Endwalker S ranks too when some time has passed or when the next expansion (7.0) releases.
If the rewards are a problem, maybe they can be reduced to fit the new times. Having faster times with S ranks could also make The Hunt more active and encourage more people to participate in the spawning processes.

2. Make SS ranks have increased chances of appearing. This could be applied when the expansion ends. So for example Shadowbringes has ended, then in Endwalker the players would have more chances in seeing the Shadowbringers SS rank (Forgiven Rebellion).
Following this example, when 7.0 releases, the chances for seeing the Endwalker SS rank (Ker) should increase as well.
It is also fun content when there are many players participating in the map working towards an objective together, it makes The Hunt content more attractive as well, so it's a thing to keep in mind.

3. Make A Realm Reborn, Heavensward and Stormblood S ranks spawn Shadowbringers and Endwalker SS ranks too. Because why not? Maybe with a lower percentage, but it should definitely improve the hunting for those old S ranks, while also bringing more fun to old locations and it helps to keep the previous expansions' maps interesting and more relevant.

4. Adding new S ranks: so even if Shadowbringers ended a couple months ago, it would be amazing to see new S ranks in previous zones. For example, Lakeland would have the Tyger and another new S rank with different timers. That would keep the previous expansions' locations more relevant while also making The Hunt community more active. In the end, S ranks are big mobs, so honestly I don't see this very difficult to apply. It would also mean that the developers are not forgetting the previous expansions' zones.

Many of us like collecting mounts, minions and such, so starting this game and seeing that long of a grind feels discouraging.
I will list some examples: Take the Pteranodon mount (from The Firmament), which is a long grind, but now it's a bit easier in Endwalker than it was in Shadowbringers, thanks to the new DoL/DoH gear.
The same applies with Extreme Trials mounts when the developers increase the chances of obtaining the mounts from those Trials after a couple of patches.
I had seen the same happening in Eureka and Bozja content when things got upgraded so that the players felt more desire to participate in such content.

But with The Hunt achievements, they are not getting easier like in the examples I listed before, if only harder. It seems they are only easy when the expansion releases because there are several instances and that means more S ranks, like now in Endwalker, we have a lot of S ranks, so The Hunt feels more engaging and interesting, which is exactly what I'm asking for: having more S ranks, faster times to spawn them or more options with SS ranks so we can work on our grind towards the achievements in the time we play the game without spending months trying to get them. This could also help in valuing the time we as players put in the game.

What I'm saying is that when some content is not current or entirely relevant, it could help to add options to make the players feel more interested in farming the mounts, minions, achievements and such, while also encouraging them to participate in that content because honestly, we don't want to spend months and months trying to achieve something especially because we can miss S ranks very easily by just doing anything else, so my suggestions go entirely to make more S ranks spawn and just having more options without reducing the long grind.

I've seen news about FFXIV being planned for the next 10 years (that's why I wrote "... and beyond" in the title), so giving old content some love and upgrades feels important because the game will always have new players every day and they will want to be invested in all things and different types of content, just like it happened to me. But I also want my time to be used better while playing the game and I believe that having more options for some achievements would definitely improve things for the players.

But it is a long time achievement that is meant to take "months and months".

If you don't want to spend months and months because you don't see it as a good use of your time, then don't. Go without the mounts.

The mounts are rewards that represent actual achievements for those who use the Hunt as a primary part of their end game. They're intended to be rare, not something that a casual collector can easily acquire.
