It's absolutely Dragoon for me. The idea of being a plate armor clad warrior brandishing a big spear and slamming it into a dragon in mid-flight is just too cool. It doesn't hurt that the attack animations are badass.

Warrior. It appeals to a certain kind of player.
Its Stormblood quest chain is also the best love story ever told.
Paladin. I carried my sword and shield from level 1 to level 90 without a second class for the MSQ. Would do again.
Ironically poison mages and summoners....if only we could have a decent version of either
+Paladin+
- Able to perform melee & magical attacks (similarly akin to RDM’s)
- Self heals & others while able to recover mana with no problem
- Hollow ground my bestfriend
- Variety of defenses & damage mitigation
- Best looking armour
- Overall love the holy knight aesthetics & always been drawn to medieval fantasty holy templar sorts & I credit that to my favourite childhood stories of King Arthur
Gunbreaker. I wish it had a ranged phase though. I like the feeling of being a protector without being a full-on goody two shoes like Paladin. Also Gunbreaker goes the best with the best tank glamour in the game - Midan Coat of Fending.
I tend to lean towards bards, music-based support and healing
:(
Archer. I will never forgive Bard for forever ruining such a staple class fantasy.
White Mage being a mix of cleric and druid. I'm happy it's even embracing its 'druid' side lately
If we’re speaking solely in terms of XIV, I’m very fond of SGE. I like a more scientific(in a sense) approach to healing. A lot of their spells effects don’t look like just mystical energy. “Laser beam.” In general I’m very fond of druids
