Can I play FFXIV on more than one PC?

This may sound like a silly question, but bear with me!

I mainly play FFXIV on my desktop PC, but would like to play on my laptop when away from home. I installed the game on my laptop and tried to log in, but my account was instantly locked. I was then emailed a security threat email informing me that someone had attempted to log into my account on another computer and giving me a link to change my password.

So my question is: is it possible to actually play the game on more than one computer? If so, how do I get around the security threat thing?

Just do the password reset then log in with the laptop. SE has very good compromise deterrent measures in place that monitor people's patterns. If you've logged in from 1 mac address for two months solid, then try from another, you get the password notification. Once you make it a habit to log in from both, you shouldn't be bothered too often.

I had a password reset just because I had a bad internet connection one night and logged on 5-6 times in an hour. Message came up saying there were lots of login attempts in a short period of time.

You have the security token? If not you should get one if you can that should ease things up a bit.

^this. By using a Security Token, you can usually circumvent/avoid most of these verification problems.

Wow, they are really cracking down on multi-box play... I can't see how this would be an issue, people were doing it all the time in XI. But yeah, I've never had that problem with the token. And the tokens last an amazingly long time, I got mine when they were open for preorder for XI and it's still spitting out passcodes.
