SE, Fix The Player Instance Fragmentation
Okay, so at launch multiple zone instances were required, I get that, but now it's causing serious player population fragmentation.
I just logged into Phoenix @ 9:30 GMT and ported to Labyrinthos and was in instance 3 of 3 .. player populations were listed as 6, 1, 3 respectively.
Why had I been put into number 3? In fact how come there were three instances anyway with such a trivial population?
Sure, I guess if there's 1 player in #2 AFKing then that instance won't get shut down but when a new player logs in (me) why aren't they being allocated to the highest populated instance when numbers are so low, so as to eventually be able to shutdown the other instances.
I refuse to believe that all three zones were heavily populated right up to the time I ported in.
