Need help with Red Mage

Last night I finally got a clear for p2s and the team uploaded a parse and I find myself to be in the lower 4 percentile. I'm doing 6k damage, 1k+ less than an average rdm but I can't figure out why.

I tried to compare my data with another red mage in the 50 percentile and my attacks are doing 1-4k dmg less in general. When looking at specific spell, Verthunder III makes up ~12% of both of our total damage. We both casted that 38 times but mine does 1k less per cast. My crit and DH are at 20% while the other guy's are at 30% and 45% respectively. And I think that contributes to the 1k difference?

I don't know what makes my damage so low compared to the average. My ilvl is 584 and I have fully melding (regular meld only) all gear with crit then DH then det. I had my food buff during the fight. What else could have caused my crit and DH rate to be 10-25% lower? I understand that my rotation is still not that good and I can better manage my uptime and better time my embolden window. I expect that to get me maybe to 5% less damage than average? But I can't quite figure out what got me to 17% less damage.

I have tried to read up from guides and youtube videos and I am not doing anything very different from the regular rotations out there. I've been scratching my head for quite a some time now. Thanks in advance for giving me advice so I can improve and not be a burden.

You have 4 issues. You're not using all your oGCDs. Your cast time is 2.41s, it should be 2.48 since you have no benefit in spell speed. Crit>Det>DH>Spell Speed for RDM. Lastly, you have an uptime of 88%. That's the biggest issue, you're losing a lot of time not casting. It seems you're losing a lot of melee combos from not doing your melee combo properly.

Thank you so much for pointing me to xivanalysis. It's actually good to know that the problem lies with my rotation so I can improve on it. Didn't expect my uptime to be that low. I'll definitely work on it.

As for cast time, since I haven't melded any spell speed to my gear, I'll need to wait for another piece of gear with less spell speed that I can upgrade to to fix that, right? Or would it be better if I downgrade some gear to exchange spell speed for crit?
