Thank you for the Summoner buffs Devs!

I wanted a Ruby Rite buff but also got a Bahamut and Phoenix buff! That was a surprise!. Thank you for buffing my favorite job in Endwalker and it feels good! :D

I do still will like like some quality of life in patch 6.1. Hope the development team take these changes I would like into consideration.

* Would like Crimson Cyclone, Crimson Strike and Ruby Catastrophe to get an extra 20 potency increase like Ruby Rite has received. Really hope you take the aoe buff into consideration.
* Searing Light to be used outside of combat or its cast time reduced to 115 seconds, so it feels better if players want to choose more spell speed gear sets. Also it's radius increased so it reaches players who might have to move out for mechanics.
* Energy Drain and Energy Siphon being changed from Ability to a Spell, to have it line up better with Bahamut/Phoenix if players decide to go for spell speed gear.
* A small MP reduction so players don't have to keep using Lucid Dreaming in a fight. And have it help players save it for raising a player, helping yourself if you have been raised from a player, or for very long extended fights.
* An option or some slight tuning to Titan's/Ifrit's animations on the ground. To have them less bright on the ground so players have a easier time seeing mechanics.

I’m glad to see Ruby Rite get a higher potency value; since it’s the hardest elemental spell to use due to its longer cast time, it makes sense that it should do enough damage to not make players just want to skip over it entirely sometimes.

I did some napkin math on this. Titan is still by far the best, and Ifrit beats Garuda but only barely.

Yeah Titan is the strongest still, and it would feel rewarding if Ifrit was the strongest. For that risk/reward feeling when using Ifrit.

Yes! Dear lord YES! If you want me to feel good about slowing down, I want to hit HARD as the tradeoff.

Decoupling Searing Light from combat definitely would cleanup the opener. I would go a step and say removing carby from the equation would be even better. Allowing it to align better for SpS builds may not be what they want to do. I am fine with it, but it is counterintuitive for a class to prioritize huge amounts of SpS when a large number of the casts are instant.

See previous. I could go either way on this.

Maybe I am doing Summoner wrong, but I haven't found MP to be an issue unless I die with Lucid on CD or am forced to chain rez. A single rez is usually not enough to really dent my MP. Then again, I reflexively mash Lucid on CD.

When comes to Searing Light being 115seconds, and Energy Drain/Energy Siphon being changed from an Ability to Spell, players who don't go for Spell Speed gear sets shouldn't be affected in a negative way. This will just be a benefit overall. I also think the current engine the devs are using for FFXIV might be the cause on why they can't just have Carbuncle/Fairy out immediately when you switch to those jobs. Just remember them regretting having SMN/SCH sharing the same class. But maybe have Carbuncle also be instant cast would be nice.

As for the MP issue, there currently isn't a MP issue in dungeons and normal trials. This is really just for raids since the fights are slightly longer. And who knows how long those 24 raid fights will be in patch 6.1. Its just some small quality of life, so you can use Lucid Dreaming when you actually need it is all.

I so have many ideas on what I would want added to Summoner, but I'll probably save that for a later post. Probably after patch 6.1 :D
