The duel system is a waste of time.

Why on earth are fights heavily reliant on trial and error made so you can only get a *chance* at trying them every one hour, have very little time to do the proper preparation, consume notoriety even without engaging in the duel (if only the timer was higher!). I do not care this is not current content anymore, this is still in the game.

I have no problem with the duels being hard, and I understand reraisers as the only "retry" option, but please, these are extremely annoying to get into the first place, not to mention the high wait time causes anxiety once the duel finally starts and it becomes easier to do mistakes.

I do not want to take away the challenge to overcome, but make the duel system less restrictive.

The only points I really agree with here are how long it can take to get a duel and the notoriety drain from accepting but not getting picked.

Most duels require the same stock set of lost actions so you should have a saved set just for them, barring a couple of cases that require something different. I'd assume if you're aiming for any one particular duel at a time though, you'd have a set prepared in advance for it in particular.

The fights are so punishing because I guess the devs wanted it to be a community experience, where each failed one would hopefully teach others how to get further in the next time it popped. Now that the content's been out so long, there's plenty of guides out there that do an amazing job of teaching all the duel mechanics. Watch them enough times and even anxiety-caused mistakes might be less likely to happen.

They took bluemage trials and gave you no retry option. Not a good look

I 100% agree with this. Who thought it was a good idea to give fights where literally everything but auto-attacks can one-shot you if you blink at the wrong time, an hour to two hour retry timer, which isn't even a guarantee of getting in?

Either increase the drop rates for the notes in Dalriada, make the Duels less ridiculously punishing and unfair, or give us the option to use the otherwise worthless Bozjan coins we get to buy some of the field notes. Hell, I'll pay with the current tomestones just so that I can get the ONE field note I need to never touch Zadnor with a 50-foot pole ever again. I've run Dalriada over a hundred times, and in that time, I've had notes drop twice. And it was for the same target, which left me actually wanting to kick puppies and stuck doing the stupid Lyon's Share duel.

And before some smug soul comes in here like 'Oh the Duels are so EASY! Just watch this guide, use these Resistance Actions - which you're not guaranteed to get even if you buy a bunch of them on the Marketboard at grotesquely inflated prices - have perfect reflexes and complete memorisation of every single step of the entire fight, while you're being stared at, jeered at by other players and have to handle every mechanic one-shotting you! Why are you so bad at the game lolololol!'

Firstly; I've cleared every EX fight and most savage content. I haven't done Ultimates yet but still, I know how to play the game. I've even cleared enough of the Masked Carnival to get all my BLU spells and such.
Secondly; you wanna know what all of those have in common, even the Masked Carnival fights for the most part? None of those one-shot you with every single mechanic, none of them involve public humiliation, and none of them have a cooldown of an hour or more for a chance to even get into the fight.
