Artistic Oversight here or......? (EW Spoilers)

So maybe I'm just nitpicking here, but I noticed something that's bugging me about the Blasphemies, particularily, one of their model types. The big black bidepal bird thingies. I immediately recognized them from ARR, and remembered that the model used is the exact same model for the the Allagan Mirrorknights.

They even have lore (From Fractal Continuum):

"Exhibit IV: The Mirror Knight Wrote:A second-generation construct boasting the strength of a bear and the acute vision of an owl. As with many early efforts at synthesis, lack of intelligence and a proclivity for violence limited its practical use."

I noticed that many of the Blasphemies we encounter use the exact same model/skin. See here @ 1:53 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_AKCk14qjE

I find it strange how many people in Endwalker were being transfigured by Dynamis into ancient Allagan Constructs. I understand model re-usage is a thing that happens in this game to the point of often breaking believability, but this is just silly. Did they just take random old models and not consider what those models even were before reusing them? I'd be ok if it had a unique skin so it didn't look like the same creatures, but it's the exact same model just copypasted and now called a completely different thing. This is pretty sloppy.

Most of the blasphemies are just reskinned models, much like sin eaters. A large chunk of them actually resemble voidsent

Yeah but there's reskinning and then there's taking a creature that has it's own established lore and then copy-pasting it's model and then calling it something completely different. Like if they took a chocobo model and then copy-pasted it somewhere else and called it a bear. It suggests they were just taking old enemy models and not considering what they were and sloppily reusing them under different names.

I think its establieshed that the forms of Blasphemies come from the (collective?) minds of transforming individuals. Some of the ones in role quests take on very specific forms related to myth or recent events. It wouldn't be weird if some Allagan specimens remained engraved in mythology (Garuda).

That said, yeah, it probably has a good amount to do with cost saving. It does make for a convenient excuse though, and they can play around with the idea of recurring motifs in history.

It also explains why Thavnair (and the Garlemald End of Days duty) have those monstrous elephant-head beasts, but none of the others appearances do.

In this version of the Final Days the people are literally transforming into their greatest nightmares. All it means when we see a Mirrorknight Blasphemy is that whoever turned into it was exceptionally afraid of Mirrorknights.

Considering the amount encountered in EW that's a considerably large amount of people from Thavnair who have a deep-seated fear of a very specific monster that is rarely seen in the game and absolutely nowhere to be seen in Thavnair. So rare in fact that I forgot they even existed until I saw them as Blapshemies in EW and thought "hey wait a minute.....".

Thavnair is a land of merchants. You don't know where all they've traveled, nor what they've seen in their lives. Nor what they've read in stories or seen in books. You don't have to have swam in the waters with a Great White Shark to be scared of one, for instance.

I guess. Though I don't think that was what SE was thinking when they reused the models along with the other ones they reused, lol.

If you did t5 on launch, you'd be terrified of death knights--I mean Mirrorknights too
