PF Toggles to (hopefully) Reduce Vote Kick Occurances

I have no dev/coding experience what so ever, so implementing this idea might not be feasible - however....I'm shooting my shot!
PF TOGGLES (where "join in progress party" and language settings are):
-- Adding a toggle for those who wish to speed run dungeons/content but lack a full-up party.
This could be done by drawing from the pool of people using PF with the toggle on, or maybe by accessing achievements related to dungeon clears. I'm sure the game tracks (to some extent) how many times we've done "The Vault" (for example), so setting a threshold which ensures competency might be possible. This might look something like having completed the dungeon/trial/raid at least 15-20 times SYNC'D as whatever class the player is queue'ing as.

-- Adding a toggle for those that wish to do dungeons slowly/learn
The unspoken rule that Tank (and Healer) set the pace sometimes feels like it's not a thing at all. This would allow players that need a slightly slower pace to still enjoy the experiences of playing with real people in MMOs instead of solely having to rely on trusts. A lot of people are nice enough to tell the party if it's their first attempt at a duty, but sometimes that doesn't stop the pace-setters from sprinting everywhere all the time. PF could draw from people with the toggle on, people who still have their sprout icon, or people who have done dungeons less than 3 times (arbitrary here because some duties just click after a second go - for me at least)

-- Adding a toggle for those that feel they play at peak "optimization" and only wish to play with people of the same mind-set/ability
This toggle I believe would only pull from the people who have the toggle on, or potentially those with mentor status (big potentially here as we all sadly know how some mentors are....)

In adding these toggles I think adding somewhere in the codding that automatically turns these off upon switching classes might be a good idea, as someone who's mained a caster might not be as confident switching to a melee DPS and might forget to turn them off. If these toggles are left off, then PF will just work as it always has and draw from all players queue'ing for duties.
The reason why I just don't pin this all on Vote Dismiss is because I've read a few threads about it and it seems the people with sway/who make the decisions don't want to add that catch all reason of "DIFFERING PLAY-STYLES" to the choices because then it opens that can of worms of "oh it's just one more reason, it should be added to the list too."


I'm here simply to see if the toggles are feasible, and if you fellow players think it would actually help reduce the use of Vote Kicking for reasons that don't accurately reflect the situation.

Unfortunately, I don't believe the game itself tracks how many times you've been through an instance. That is data which serves no particular purpose in the game at this time and cannot be readily stored somewhere that doesn't require a massive amount of data to be searched every time you hit the toggle.

The game currently tracks:

Achievement dates (can be found on Lodestone)

Which dungeon instances you've completed

When you completed a particular quest in-game (also on Lodestone, although this one actually indicates I completed the first set of MSQ quests in the 2.0 storyline in April of 2021, rather than November of 2014. This actually appears to be the date that specific quest completion started to be tracked, as it is consistent across a number of alts I know have been around since the 2015-2017 time frame.)

I don't find many PF groups for actual leveling dungeons, as Roulette queues tend to be quick, and the content is relatively straightforward. Your suggestion of 'peak optimization' is ambiguous, and to invoke Mentor Status might be counterproductive as Mentors serve another purpose in Roulettes that shouldn't copy over to Party Finder.

Roulettes are where I see and hear of the most issues happening with vote dismissal misuse (i'm going to use that word since the reasons don't accurately reflect all reasons a player can be kicked)

Peak optimization is sort of an ambiguous thing/concept, and heavily based of a player's perception of their own ability, or of someone else's. The only reason I toss this in as well is because a few people i've encountered get pissed beyond belief when they can't play at the best of their best or at their "peak optimization" because a tank might be uncomfortable W2W'ing, or might be new to a duty and same for the healer they might request smaller pulls for varying reasons - and because of that the player's who are "optimized" think it's a-okay to kick that player (TOS says it is because playstyle ;_; )

I really appreciate your feed back though DPZ2, you're hundo correct with the amount of data it would create to track things like that....hmmmm....i never had thought of it.

Ah. For Duty Finder we have a different problem. It is required content.

Allowing party members to decide playstyles through toggles would, unfortunately, affect queue times as the system tries to match conflicting choices. Imagine queuing for Duty Roulette with "Speed Run" toggled on, when all of the new players do not have that toggled. Imagine this specifically if the toggle is ignored by the majority of Healers who queue up.

One might have a toggle to "not play with those new to the instance", which would defeat the entire purpose of Leveling Roulette. I'm not saying a majority of long-term players wouldn't enjoy such a toggle. Perhaps it could be mitigated by giving only the 'at level' XP for the instance rather than a bonus if that toggle is flipped, much like it does with the "unsync" toggle now.
