I loved the stealth duties!

I wanted to say I really enjoyed the different types of duties that were provided in Endwalker. The Thancred duty was a lot of fun for me without being too difficult, I was able to get through it once without starting over and I felt that it was a really good introduction to the duty that would come in the next part of the story.

The duty for "In From the Cold" was one of my absolute favorites. I think some people think that because they are playing a game, they shouldn't feel frustrated or annoyed, which absolutely isn't true. I felt equal parts of frustrated at not being able to find the things I needed, not having the ability to fight the obstacles in my path, and all with this driving insistence to move forward because my body was out there, and I needed to protect those people who put themselves in danger just by being around me. I felt helpless, scared, and headstrong, which is a feeling that a game hasn't made me feel in a while. It was a very daring duty to put into an MMO, and I thought it paid off spectacularly. So I, personally, want to say thank you to the people who made that duty possible. There are many alternate timelines in which Lichacha didn't make it in time, but I couldn't take the easy route.

In From the Cold was definitely good. I would absolutely play "Deep Dungeon" style content that like that. It definitely was successful in making you feel what it was trying to feel. I didn't understand the hate.

The Thancred duty I could have taken or left, but it was a neat idea.

I personally like the "NPC" duties, and hope that they continue to make them more difficult and complex since they added easy and very easy for those who'd rather just get through them.

The one thing I do wish they'd make universal is give the option at the start for a quick run down of all your abilities. Sorta like how the Thancred instance gave you a guide on what your skills did. Also it would be nice to be able to change up how skills are assigned. Kinda annoying as Alphinaud where your attack skill is on dpad on controller.

Yes, if I could do one thing different it would be the ability to reassign keys. A lot of mine are non-standard so I end up having to warp my hand haha.

I liked it too. It was fun and intense xD kinda feels like in ff15 for stealth mission getting the Regalia back lol but this time no warp strike stealth kill lmao . I enjoyed it :)

Maybe its cus some people dislike that they put stealth missions as a msq and wanting to skip it/playing the NPC Scion characters in solo duties but they rather wanna play with their own character for that type of duty i think.
All i gotta say is.. Just frickin do it, stop crying about it and get it over with whether you like the stealth mission quest or not if you wanna progress further into the story xD anywaays, they really did an amazing job on the stealth mission duties :)

I'm sure that's it. I just agree with you, just do it and get it over with. It's a 20-30 hour MSQ but people will sit here and complain and complain about the 15-30 minutes that you play as someone else, complain about learning what the 6-8 skills do and just fumble through the duty.

I'm not sure any of the Scion pieces really add much, I feel like it's just a way to show the Scions fighting without needing to create a cutscene for it. In From the Cold was great though, because you're playing "you."

Metal gear solid missions were an amazing addition to final fantasy 14
Thancred just needs a snake outfit and this game would be perfect

I thoroughly enjoyed this "Metal-Gear-ish" stealth part while taking both of my main characters through EW-- and this particular element is actually in my extensive Endwalker review to the Devs which I'm still drafting up (for over a month-- *pulls face*).

In many ways, it gave us a stellar insight into how Thancred goes about his sneaky stuff during all his numerous missions into the enemy territory-- definitely a great addition to the MSQ. I wonder if Hideo Kojima actually plays FFXIV...
