Why can't you fix the disconnects?

Look, I have been playing your game since ARR and usually do not have any issues of disconnects until a new xpac comes out.

It's so frustrating and we can't even get an acknowledgment that there is even an issue.

I even asked earlier where you guys are, and now you appear. Thank you <3


I just wonder what there is to acknowledge when you are the first one to complain about it after 2 weeks of silence on that issue.

I haven't gotten disconnected once in two weeks, and neither have most of the people I know in-game. The only one who has is dealing with really crappy internet that keeps cutting out.

It baffles me as well.

I think I've actually been DC'ed maybe twice since EW launch and haven't had any 2002s since the fixes went through. Even before that, I had largely figured out I was doing (and not doing) on my end that seemed to be encouraging 2002s to happen anyway so they weren't much of an issue for me. I know my experience isn't the same as what others have been seeing but it's pretty clearly not a widespread issue any more which may mean if you're still having problems that you may be a fringe case with specific hardware/software issues.

I haven't had a single disconnect since the early access launch, and I play almost exclusively during prime-time.

I will continue to tell people that spotty internet is the biggest cause.

Are you sure it isn't your internet OP? I haven't gotten an error 2002 since Dec 17th.
The only time I get an error 2002 is if my internet drops at all while I'm connected (for example if my cat accidently pulls out my ethernet cable or something which happened a few days ago)

I read that you can also get this error if you're connecting to the lobby server and you suffer frequent packet loss problems. You should check if your connection to the FFXIV servers are stable.
this is likely not a problem that SE can fix for you but something on your end.

Haven't had any problems myself, but someone a few days back mentioned some countries are affected by a broken cable, I think it was France, Turkey,... and I forget the others.

generally disconnects are something that's on your end or your ISP's fault. blips and such in your service. Only when an entire world/data center goes down is when you hear the cries of the fallen lol

Disconnects? No.
Lag and stuttering so bad my reaper gauge still shows an ember even if I used Communio a minute ago? Yes.
Desyncs so bad that I spend a full minute of the fight with everyone t-posing? Yes.
FC and static members having this same issue at the same time, and then it all becoming smooth as silk again? Also, yes.
