CHANGE THE AWFUL GUNBREAKER SOUNDS!

Please, yoshida and FFxiv team. You have A thread on the tank forum of players mostly agreeing on how bad the current gunbreaker sounds are and its been around for 2+ YEARS, many more on reddit that meme/bash the current sounds. The overwhelming majority hate the sounds. At the very least add the option to switch, so all can be happy.

A legit 68 page thread complaining about this since 5.01. Its clear it needs to change. I and many others dropped the job due to the blunt sound effect, it sounds like your hitting wood or card board. Its a gun BLADE not a bat.

dont tell after listening to the before and after that the new ones sounds better.

The sound is so bad there is even mods out there that fix it for the pc version.

so for the love of eorzea please fix it. 2 years of complaints,.... 2 YEARS!

If first sound effects not suitable for some players please at least give us a way to switch sound effect (similar to SMN carbuncle skins (/egiglamour) you can give us a command to select which sound pack we want to use.)
In current state feels like I am using a mace or hammer.. it doesn't sounds like a blade.

I honestly have to agree with this, despite the tone being a bit harsh.

It's been over two years at this point. That thread was initially created in 5.01 and has been actively on the front page of the tank forum since then.

Because of their low quality, I was under the impression that the current sounds were a holdover until new sfx could be refined and pushed, but there have been no indications that any work is planned for that.

It really feels like it was a knee jerk reaction after some complaints in the first few weeks, where they proceeded to ignore literal years of feedback after the fact.

hope i was not being to harsh lol. but it is quite ridiculous that there not even been so much a peep or response towards something that has been complained about for awhile. the initial complaint for what I have heard was only a few people, and it got changed to what we now. but when a ton of people want it changed back, they dont even bat an eye. they could implement some system Im sure where you can swap out sounds in the option menu.

That number in the strawpoll actually got reset a year or so back. It made it up to at least a thousand votes, but had the same results.

We were actually able to raise the issue to the devs in a Q and A, but they basically just said "wait and see. you might like it."
The whole thing kinda boggles my mind.

People have been asking this since more than a year ago. And they didn't change it for endwalker. Guys, it's not gonna happen. Such a simple task and they simply do not wanna do it.
