Game client crashing at random times

Steps:
1. At a random point in time after logging in, I will receive a popup with a critical error message and the game client will crash
2. Another form I've seen recently that may be related, is equally random, but there is no error message, the game client just crashes and closes itself.
3. there are no corrolating factors I can see, this occurs sometimes while in dungeons with a party, other times while running around solo, sometimes almost immediately after logging in, others after an hour or more of play.
4. This has happened every day at least once since the most recent patch.
