BRD dot timer

Could we get a max dot duration of 60 seconds. Keep the refresh timer to 45 seconds. That way we could refresh the dot below 15 seconds without any waste of potential dps.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't understand what you're asking for. If the DoT duration is 60 seconds, how would you refresh it at 45 without any loss to dps?

They already adjusted the duration to match your song durations so that the "refresh" cycle aligns.

I mean the same mechanic like storm eye of the warrior. You add 45 seconds to the dots, the max timer is 60 seconds. That way you can refresh at lets say 12 seconds to 57 seconds (+45). It would be no damage loss as long as you refresh below 15 seconds. Currently if do not reset just before the dots wears out, you waste dps (beside buff snapshotting).

Ah, ok I see what you mean now.

Don't know if 45 potency per 3s on dots is something really notable to fret over...but for now, yeah, it would be nice to have Iron Jaws simply extend the duration rather than refresh.

It feels like they're preparing to remove dots entirely, since they no longer have any functionality or interaction with the rest of BRD's kit.
An idea: Maybe make them something like the Flare buff for BLM; you only need to apply them once, and they'll continue doing damage so long as you're actively in any song. No refreshing needed.
