okay, i started out going into Cuff of the Father unsynced
got about halfway through and ran past some enemies to drop down to the next section
tried to activated switch to proceed but....
the snipers were hitting me and interrupting me
I couldn't reach them to kill them
I couldn't return to the start or abandon because I was still in combat
I finally just had to do nothing and wait for it to expel me for inactivity
that was a bad experience I hope none of you repeat
I had just enough time to activate the device between Sniper Shots. It's really strange though that (a) you're allowed to drop down without killing them and (b) they can hit you from the higher floor all the way until you cross the threshold of the boss room. That's surely not intentional. A bug report is probably in order.
Addendum: it looks like the ability to activate the switch will depend heavily on how in sync the two snipers are. If they are firing more than a second or so apart from each other, you'll get interrupted.
