"This started as a sort of 'DRK can't be that bad surely' and now that I'm done I figured I'd share the numbers. Feel free to tell me if you see anything wrong here.

I have around 70,000 HP on my tanks and seem to get about 1,250 HP per 100 potency, so I'll work with those numbers. I'm also going to assume single target. Skills that have 90 second cooldowns will have their potencies reduced to 66%.

Dark Knight: 2,000 ppm healing // 1,400 ppm shielding per use of TBN.
Paladin: 4,650 ppm healing // 560 ppm shielding
GNB: 4,360 ppm healing // 1,000 ppm shielding
WAR: 8,360 ppm healing // 1,520 ppm shielding
War, as expected has ridiculous amounts of healing, but I didn't expect it to also have the most amount of shielding. With it potentially being a 21% shield instead of just 15%, it can be even better than listed here. Assuming DRK isn't gimping their DPS by moving MP out of raid buffs by using more than 1 TBN, they have the lowest healing potency by far and only second for shielding potency.

I'm not going to compare Damage Reduction here, but Dark Mind and Dark Missionary both being magic-only really restricts DRK on what it can do. The tiny DPS advantage just doesn't seem like it's worth the massive deficit in actually tanking things."

When you see Warrior has more barrier than TBN, and near double of healing than GNB/PLD, more healing than DRK/PLD put together, or DRK/GNB put together, you know it's super broken.

Well you can argue DRK could get 1400x4 for a PPM for shielding, but where are you going to break TBN reliably 4 times in one min

But yeah, warrior is certainly setting a new bar for what it means to be broken.

From this data, we all can say DRK needs some serious help in the healing category. Either double it so it's at 4K or take it to 3.5K. Either is way preferable.

Still funny to me that EW decided that DRK's self healing needed to be nerfed by putting Drain and CS on the same cooldown.
Not that reverting this would fix the situation at all.

Thats the scary part. Are they going to buff the other tanks or are they going to nerf WAR.

Probably nerf WAR's healing. I'd probably just drop Bloodwhetting and Nascent Flash down to 300 cure potency, and then the HoT on Equilibrium (why does it even have one when it could have been given to DRK!?) to 100 cure potency.

WAR is my go to tank since they can't seem to get DRK right (or at least it always feels off when playing it), and when I got Sirensong sea as WAR (18k hp approximately) and each hit of raw intuition was giving me 3k+ hp, I thought to myself "This is broken".

Where's my full aoe heal unleash.
