Suggestions to improve the inventory UX

For me personally, inventory management is the most tedious thing in this game, and it is a lot more tedious than in other MMORPGs or RPGs. There is a lot that could be done to improve the inventory user experience, and I do believe with some work, the game could end up having a sleek and user friendly inventory system. I want to highlight some issues I commonly stumble upon:

Desynthesis is slow and clunky. Desynthesizing is my preferred way to get rid of gear that I don't want. I run a lot of dungeons, especially when I am levelling jobs. This often leads to a place when my armory is FULL of gear that I want to desynthesize. I'm not exaggerating when I say it had often taken me about 30 minutes to go through all of my armory slots. An improvement I would like to see here is some kind of faster desynthesis. Either let me select items to desynthesize in bulk, or at least speed up the process of selecting the items, and for the love of god allow me to ALWAYS SKIP THE POP UP that shows me what resources I got. I can see them in my inventory AND in chat already.

The item you want to desynthesize is unique/untradeable? Please waste more time. 90% of items I desynthesize are unique/untradeable. This single action that I have to repeat every single time is literally costing me hours of play time. I get it, you want people to be safe against accidentally desynthesizing something, give me an OPTION IN THE SETTINGS that I must willingly turn on and that makes this checkmark always checked.

While desynthesizing gear you stumble upon a gear with materia in it, or gear with extractible materia. What do you do? You waste more time. Imagine if the desynthesis pop-up had an option to automatically retrieve and extract materia from the item you are desynthesizing.

To extract materia, please waste your time. Right clicking every single piece of equipment is not compelling gameplay. I want to be able to extract materia in bulk. I want to be able to extract materia from all items in my armory chest too, with a single command.

After you SLOWLY retrieved the materia, extracted the materia and desynthesized your gear. All that's left is to store the extracted materials in some kind of storage or bank, right? Should be easy. Except it isn't, this step is a nightmare.

This didn't fit into my first post so I post it here as a continuation:

It takes SIX BUTTON PRESSES AND ONE LOADING TIME to go from one retainer inventory to another. The retainer service is a premium feature where you are paying to make your inventory sorting experience worse.

Imagine if you will, a place where:

• Swapping from one retainer inventory to another retainer inventory takes 1 button press, such as clicking on a tab or pushing a button on your controller.
• Opening a retainer's inventory and selling items from a retainer's inventory on the MB aren't two identical, but separate screens for no good reason and you can do both of these things on a single inventory screen.
• There is a button that allows you to automatically sort items in your inventory into retainer inventories if they already have some instances of the item.
• There is a function that allows you to assign certain keywords to a single retainer, and the items with that keyword get automatically sorted to that retainer.
• Items have a more robust system of keywords that allows you to search and sort them.
• There is a function that allows you to quickly access crafting reagents that you have in your retainer inventories when you are crafting, somehow. Either by allowing you to craft straight from their inventory without even pulling it out, or by giving you a button that goes "retrieve materials" which is only active next to a retainer bell and instantly pulls the required materials into your inventory, or through any other means you could think of.

I will add, please give us a way to see the the contents of all retainer, personal and Saddlebag inventories at once, and move items freely between them.

I agree with you only if you were currently accessing your retainer, otherwise there wouldn't be a point to the summoning bell. For you to see inventory from your retainer at all times doesn't make sense because your retainer isn't with you at all times; the saddlebag does because you can summon your chocobo whenever.

One thing I want to add to this is the ability to lock selected items in your inventory so that they don't move from their current location when sorting. I like to manually sort my inventory in certain sections based on what materials are needing to craft whichever item.
