End Game Quest Idea: Final Fantasy Guest Boss Battles

What if, and I'm not sure if this is possible to do outside of what happened in Dissidia, but what if there was End Game content where you could challenge either heroes or villains of past Final Fantasy games in battlefields in order to obtain Armor and/or weapons inspired by them? No big questlines. Just battles.

For example, after fulfilling certain requirements, you could go and battle a FFXIV version of Shadow Lord from XI! Or, if possible, even villains like Kefka and Golbez. Perhaps heroes like Bartz or Squall.

Of course, they wouldn't be easy. Still, wouldn't it be a cool idea to fight "visions" of these characters for not only the fun of it, but inspired gear?

And again, even if it's not possible for all Final Fantasy games, having guest battles from FFXI alone would be amazing. Shadow Lord, Eald'narche, Promathia, maybe even Prishe and Naja Salaheem.

Shantotto perhaps?

Anyway, just a random idea I thought of and put down here.

SE does seem to be connecting their game worlds with the void. Same thing is happening in XIII-2's collisseum.

Will be interesting to see if Gilgamesh shows up in XIV as he's sort of being set up as a traveler of the void.

Like KH1 had? hmmm I found it boring facing Cloud/Sephiroth since its only for very hardcore players who maxed everything, but if its skill based rather than 50mill+ HP that would be fun

Sephiroth was a joke at 99 in KHII, and you could even beat him at 50 if you played properly.

KH1 Sephiroth was a beast though. He was even hard at 99. Best boss fight ever.

I support this idea!

Cameo fights are always a fun change in any RPG. Now add that to an MMO? That's a great idea.

However, implementing the idea might be quite difficult.
