I'm not sure how many other people have this issue but on three different systems with similar specs I have constant crashes with FFXIV. I've used an AMD GPU three times and considering how the game had AMD specific issues years ago, I'm assuming this is also the case. This needs to be elevated to the devs and I finally managed to get video of what exactly happens since it's random.

I've tried updating my GPU, I've tried rolling back drivers, I've used completely different systems, I've tried replacing the GPU, I've tried reinstalling, I've messed with BIOS and registry, I've tried replacing my PSU. I've done just about everything an individual can do to confront this problem and it all amounts to nought. The first two times it would be usual directX crashes but with this GPU, while I still sometimes get the directX error, this error starts. This is particularly egregious because it completely kills my system forcing me to restart. This is the ONLY game on my computer that does this, and I play many, so it is specifically a FFXIV issue. I was hoping and praying maybe, just maybe, it would get fixed with Endwalker but it didn't so I'm going to do my best to bring it to your attention.

do you overclock your gpu or tinker with it in any way? ffxiv does not appear to like anything changing the gpu's factory default settings as it makes the game become unstable randomly.

It seems as if Endwalker introduced more AMD-related issues. Anyone running AMD FX-series processors (as well as some NVidia GPU chips) has complete audio garbage in place of sound thanks to the positional sound overhaul that went into the Endwalker audio engine.

Good morning Infernocommander,
We suggest to perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the 'Start up' Tab. Then, Disable everything. Additionally, have you fully updated the OS and Graphics card? Have you attempted to close out of any background processes and or overlays? You may want to try switching to DirectX 9 by selecting the ‘Config’ button on the launcher. Lastly, does this issue only occur with one character or all characters?

I'll try disabling everything. The OS and GPU are fully updated. It's random so I don't necessarily know when the crash happens, it doesn't just crash on launch or anything when it kills my system so it's very unlikely I'll ever be in a scenario where I don't have background process running(Firefox, Discord, etc) while play XIV. As much as I love playing XIV, there's no way I could play it in a vacuum like that especially for things like raiding. I'll try playing in DX9 but I don't like the idea of having to sacrifice higher game fidelity to fix this issue, esp since I have a strong GPU. I rarely play on any other character so I couldn't say, so far it's just my main one. So I'll try disabling everything in startup and playing in DX9, if it happens again I'll update this thread.
