Accessibility Requests

Disabled player here and a mum who plays who is partially sighted. You already do some amazing things that many games do not for this, like resizing windows. Please take this post seriously though SE. I have some suggestions below and would love others to chime in (split into post and comments here):

1)Allow for modifying the telegraph system- colours and size especially. I cannot see where a boss is facing if surrounded by players, the arrows are so small they\\'re almost negligible. Telegraphs could be allowed to be pink for example, it allows easy viewing of floor colours. I have major issue with a new EW instance- without spoilers, but yellow telegraph on yellow is horrific.

2) In a similar vein to the above please allow for camera sizing differences. The bosses are often too big to fit into view and be able to see the floor. I position my camera as best I can fo see both, but usually boss head and sometimes hands are out of view making mechanics often difficult to navigate. Either increase zoom or do something. It really isn\\'t great.

3) Allow for colour changes or similar for duty list, not having a background framing often makes the white text very difficult to see especially in lighter zones, see pink bright spaces in ShB.

4) Please, especially noticed in EW, stop having chat box cut scenes, where you prevent the option to slow it down. Some are the usual type where you can click through dialogue or do auto. But many scenes are forced and have no option to slow down dialogue. That isn\\'t really OK, im unsure If that\\'s a bug hence why it is here.

5) please don't introduce extremely difficult jump puzzles, similar to kugane that are tied to common achieves like vistas. I dont think you've done anything as severe since, not even the EW one. But just for reference, that jump caused me significant pain in my hands trying to do that over and over, I had already gotten the majority of the achievement and it seemed so sad that I was at a significant disadvantage to complete it, I had to self destruct as a blu to do it. I am not saying to not include jumps, because why please don't tie them to common achievements.

6) please don't tie fishing exclamations to battle effects. These should be wholly different. Having to turn them off and on is silly and inconvenient. Exclamations above head are not quite akin to epic bright effects in battle and these need to be separated, as turning offmany effects allow for easier viewing in fights, especially for my mum.

7) just a random throw in. Itd be awesome if you could make it possible to mark a player without it showing up for the entire raid, like have the option for both. I often help my mum run raids, especially the latest one, she follows me to help guide her, as she panics in busy and stressful fights. See EW last fight. I ask her to mark me when we run unsynched content together, but this when in a big group this shows for every player. Itd be awesome to make someone just for that person to see.

You can work around this by macroing your own battle effects on in your FSH job change macro

in your other job change macros or some other hotbar button to turn them back off.


Alternatively, just

by itself will toggle your own effects between All and Off without having to navigate any menus.

1) pretty sure there is a colorblind mode that changes the effects colors.
2)agree bigger zoom is needed
3)I'd suggest using the event chat log to re-read anything you missed
4)same as 3..
5)can't help any here
6)Keep your own effects turned to max and turn everyone else to reduced or none to help with that.
7)instead or using the mark try to focus target.. it adds an arrow over your target that only you can see

Many players with colorblindness have complained about how bad the colorblind modes are at making anything clearer, and I'm not sure if playstation even has them. It didn't use to.

Not sure if it's diffucult to implement, but I would really like a dyslexia friendly font option.
