New crafting gear

Ok, so I’ve recently decided to take crafting a bit more serious this expansion. Last time I did so was early HW and even then stopped fairly early in the expansion til we got the Moogles.

What patch do we get the next batch of crafting gear? I’m trying to gage here so I can know how much effort I should put into melding the current gear we have available. I know we’ll get Master recipes in 6.05 but is that just the battle gear only or is there new gathering and crafting gear added as well?

I know probably a noob question but I actually want to make an effort to keep up on crafting this expansion.

Don't meld until next patch come up if you need to think about this. Chances are is not going to be needed to meld stuff like already happen before. Keep farming materias and wait will be my personal tip.

Extremely likely the next set will be 6.1, which is quite far away (this is the pattern they've followed in past expansions). If so we'll be using the current lv90 set for crafting the Master Recipe combat gear, not a new set. Because of that it's safe to meld, but worth holding onto your materia until 6.05 when we know the best meld builds and whether anything will be different.

So basically. It should be safe, make a full HQ 90 set, but stockpile your materia and wait and see.

Ok. So at lest do the 100% sockets and wait for the overmelds. Thanks.
