The Battle with Garuda has one of the best battlefield designs since Empyreal Paradox

Fighting a boss while surrounded by swirling storm clouds? Oh god yes! This only makes me imagine what Ramuh's battlefield would look like. Thunderstorms all over? lightning strikes constantly in the background? Make it happen!

But seriously, it's so simple and yet so effective. Sorry FFXIV developers, but I hope you understand that this means that all the battlefields need to look just as good as this, right? You've spoiled us!

Not to state the obvious, but you did notice the huge flaming inferno around Ifrit's arena didn't you?

I expect this trend to continue for the primals, but I wonder how they'll handle Leviathan...

If you haven't done this already, go into the howling eye, go into first person view, and look straight up.

A piece of land or ship swirling in a whirlpool? I suppose vortex or maelstrom would be a more apt word.

I wasn't a fan of Ifrit's arena. Mainly becauser that ring of fire was too... small. It felt less like a wall of fire and more like a ring to designate where you can go.

yoshi-p said in a interview if he could make it happen it would be a underwater fight but he said they have to add swimming first which would delay the release of the fight too a pack where they add swimming and underwater dungeon and such,.

Would make more sense than him floating in air.

Leviathan could happen on a small island his attacks can reach from the water.

ya and there hole that he can pop out from and attack :) but underwater sound more fun too me. or you could be in a small island and half HP he does his two hour which would be flood and you have to fight him in water.

You could be magically granted the ability to walk on water and fight him in the middle of the ocean or something...

Underwater would be cooler though I think. Oxyale!
