Waist items gone, where's the gil I spent on them?

I just finally noticed that my very expensive waist items, are GONE. Hundreds of thousands of gil just vanished, and yet.. I get no compensation for the removal of a highly expensive piece of equipment? Not just one, but across all my characters and classes? I've a lvl 80 character that had all exarch gear, and the waist pieces are gone. That's a LOT of gil for SE to just vanish at some whim of theirs.

So.. are we to get any compensation for these things, or are we simply ripped off of hard earned equipment and gil for same? because frankly, if that's SE's intent, I'll go find another game to play. I'm not ok with my time and effort being ripped off w/o some compensation for it.

*edit* Sorry folks, my bad. I've already stated further in the thread that this lack of knowledge was my mistake, and why I reacted so, well, abysmally for the first few of my posts in this thread. My apologies, and I hope those reading this will read further (around page 4ish and up). Thanks for understanding (if you read further as suggested).

Yep calamity guy has them plus this was announced months ago

We've known belts were going away since what, March?

You had plenty of warning to not buy expensive belts.

This was announced months before Endwalker launched. You can get the items from an NPC (I think the Calamity Scavenger) and you can still desynth them, turn them in for GC seals, etc. Keep in mind that anything from ShB would be combat obsolete now anyway, and all numbers are rebalanced so that you don't need belts anymore to be at the expected ilevel for older content.

I literally only just found out TODAY. I don't follow theforums and in fact ONLY created a forum account to ask about it, I don't do reddit where apparently everyone else hangs out. I generally, just game.

You know that's not going to be good enough for the OP. They spent the time and money on items that are no longer usable and they DEMAND compensation, despite being told for a year that belts would go away for Endwalker.

Really? So I guess the fact that I have NEVER been on these forums until today, means I was told about it. Sorry, I don't follow every twist and turn of a game. I play it. I don't sniff developers asses.

Told by who? announcement in game? BIG notice onthe launcher? Unlike you, I don't spend my days onthe forums. I spend my gaming time, *gasps* gaming*. Would have been nice to have an ingame mail about it.
