DirectX Error (11000002) during Heroes' Gauntlet... UNABLE to progress in MSQ

I have become stuck in the MSQ... for some reason, the game keeps crashing during this particular duty. I've tried it 3 times and every time it crashes with the DirectX Error (11000002) error.

This isn't the first time I've gotten this error, it's happened since I started playing the game. It used to happen a ton, and then I underclocked the CPU and GPU and undervolted the CPU as well. This kind of fixed the issue, it only crashes infrequently now. At least enough that I don't care to spend more time fixing it since I only play casually for the story.

However, even with the crashes, it NEVER halted progression before. Usually if it crashed, I could just log back in and redo the cutscene or duty or quest or whatever. Now though... it seems like I cannot get through this duty at all (The Heroes' Gauntlet). It has crashed three times, once midway and twice on the final boss. No idea what is going on, it's never done this before to the extent that it stops me from progressing.

I have pretty much tried every solution to DirectX crashing you can imagine... lower graphics, changing screen refresh rate, fps, using DirectX9, whatever I found through google (and there is A LOT out there... really insane that either SE or Nvidia hasn't fixed this issue yet). The only thing that helped at all was using MSI Afterburner and ThrottleStop to underclock & undervolt. In case it matter, in the past, I also got this Microsoft Store errors where it failed to install or update DirectX runtime and Microsoft Visual Studio C++ runtime. This also stopped me from using Windows update and I had to manually go into Microsoft Store and install or update them through there... not sure if this is related but since it was about DirectX I figured I'd mention it.

Would really hate to have to quit the game right before finishing. Doesn't help that every time the game crashes I have to wait in the long queue again lol... Any help would be appreciated!!
