Concrete proof finally provided that the 2002 error has NOTHING is server side issue

Someone on reddit was nice enough to do a full technical analysis of the cause of the 2002 error and JUST LIKE everyone has been saying.

The server is resetting you client every 15 minutes and if it desyncs during this client reset it crashes the client.

This has nothing to do with your internet but an internal server side check done once that causes you client to crash.

Fix this now and stop blaming your consumers for internal coding issues.

That's actually kind of hilarious, and tracks with what I've seen.

Ha! it's shameful that in 2021 they are blaming this on "package loss due to bad internet connection on the user side".

Even if that was the case, the login server should properly manage and keep slots consistently, instead of dumping you all the way to the back every other time.

Sad. It's a rainy Sunday here, and I haven't been able to login due to a long queue and repeated 2002 errors all day long.

This explains why it is so random and it can occur 1 every 2 hours and once every 15 minutes depending on server queue load.

The only thing I question is why my personal experience is very different from what this proof says. I use a VPN designed to optimize connections, namely giving me a bit of control over how my connection is routed by letting me select certain nodes. So can adjust my connection to have less hops and thus a shorter path and for the most part, avoid problematic nodes. I may get a single 2002 every 3 to 4 hours during peak times. If I forgo the use of my VPN, I find myself getting 2002'd far more often.

I am on Gilgamesh by the way, so one of the super populated servers. This isn't a one off thing either, but something I experienced consistently throughout the week.

I do not know what to say. If they keep continue acting that way, the goodwill be lost. They will get no sympathie from the playerbase.

This is while you are tying to login, not while playing.
The queue system is so dumb, it seems to drop itself every 15 minutes for unknown reasons and then fails to connect again. On top of that, many times it fails to put you back in the same spot you were.

My question is, why does it put some back in the same queue position when they quickly log back in and others have to go to the back of the line?
