So, it's been a thing for a very long time now where lots of dungeon gear gets reused in some way. Either dungeons reuse gear from other places or what have you. However, i had assumed with all the recent money making and player influx SE has had, we'd be seeing improvements on this, however it seems to have gotten beyond worse. The Tower of zot and Ktisis dungeons both reuse gear, but not only that, Ktisis reused gear and STILL didn't even make it dyable. Not only that either, but the 89 dungeon doesn't even give left side gear, only right side, which you could argue is because of the af gear but still, that's an entire gear set missing. I just finally did the two expert dungeons today and realized they also reused an entire music theme as the main theme for the place. Shouldn't we be seeing upgrades as each expansion goes on and not downgrades? The fact we're 4 expansions in and still don't have dyable dungeon gear is pretty appalling by itself but reusing it and not even making it dyable is beyond bad. Not to mention both the Sage and Reaper starter gear can't even be dyed, at least to my knowledge. Their level 70 and 80 af are the exact same and can't be dyed.

I think the part I most found ridiculous of the gear-reuse is the fact we got Neo Ishgard recolor. Neo Ishgard was literally last expac, so it's not some gear somewhere that was recolored for use that we haven't seen a while, but literally the previous expac, why?

Now if they let us have the Plague Bringer set and Daring Duelist set and brought it back dyable I'd have been grateful.

But no, we got previous expac gear.

I don’t like the 2 reused songs for the final day 6.0 dungeons.

They did the same with the Ktisis gear. It’s shadowless gear recolored but not even dyable lmao. If you’re going to reuse the gear at least make it dyable. We’re 4 expansions in there’s literally no excuse, especially with how long they delayed the game.

It's insane how much was reused, but not just reused, it was all reused exactly how it was used before. Nothing has been role swapped and nothing that wasn't dyable before was made dyable. Not a single crafted set from 80-90 is a new skin except for level 90 DoH gear is new (I think it's new). The 89 dungeon is all accessories, despite the two level 90 dungeons being all accessories (expected) which makes the last leveling dungeon pointless for glams or anything.

I guess we're fortunate that the devs felt they needed to dress the people of Thavnair and Garlemald in something new, or else we wouldn't have gotten any new armor models before max level.

I, too, noticed that they reused a lot of stuff in this expansion which leads me to the question - what were they doing working on it? They even postponed this exp. release to seemingly polish some stuff but what is there to polish if it's all old?

Exactly. They’ve supposedly lowered the amount of expert dungeons to take more time on the ones we are getting but we’re just getting more and more reused gear per expansion. Crafter and gatherer gear is even worse where i think only a couple levels got actual new gear, the rest are all reused. It’s beyond ridiculous at this point and it’s crazy to me no one else has called this out. Each expansion we should see upgrades but since shadowbringers it’s been nothing but downgrades.I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt back then but considering they delayed this expansion 6-7 months there is 0 reason we should be getting reused content.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who find this an issue. I don't mind if it's reused gear from way back but neo is literally the crafting level 80 gear. Also some are STILL not dyable. Really disappointed with the gear we got.

As an WoW player that also plays FF14 I find it pretty standard that all the recolors come into the game and all the unique stuff goes into the cash shop.

That’s hasn’t really been the deal with 14, it really only became bad in shb and EW. Irregardless though, we should be seeing improvements on that front, instead we’ve seen nothing but the situation worsening. Especially when you consider the cash shop money is supposed to go back into the game, where are we seeing evidence of this?
