About server queues

Hey,

So I have a question. Currently I'm on Odin and the queue is pretty high especially afternoon/night.
If I switch World Server temporary with that visit option to another less populated WS, can it solve the problem? At least for this afternoon.

In my own experience Visit Another World option gets disabled during peak hours

Because we all go through login servers to get to our respective worlds. They are capped at a certain number to protect the server from melt down. So the queue you are sitting in is a login server. That also is old. Sorry but until they can get new servers this is what it is. There is a news post that was posted yesterday on the lodestone if you care to read it.

I'm kinda new to the game, especially on the forums so don't have a clue where should I read the recent news or announcements which are official. But Lodestone it is then.

I did read about the server issue somewhere around the launch, that there is a shortage.
My thoughts was that Bobby Kotick bought up all them components. (Just a mere joke if I may)

It is disabled because ther is no world without a queue of ~4k+

You can visit before queues form, and you'll remain on that server until you world visit back to your own server. So if their queue is shorter, you'll get that queue during the next login.
Do note that you can't world visit back during the time when there's a queue to your home server, so if you do it you'll be stuck without retainer access until you get back to your home world.

You can World Transfer during off peak hours. Trying to do so during peak just puts you in a queue with others trying to log into those worlds at that time. I'm thinking of moving my character to Malboro from Balmung in the morning so hopefully the queue will be smaller during prime time.

Edit: Sure the queues are long on all servers but some have to be better than others.
