Mac has "unexpected error", ntdll.dl+# error, crashing

My game keeps crashing and giving me 2 dialogue boxes, each having one of two error codes: ntdll.ll+28131 and ntdll.ll+27963. When it crashes, the music continues but my screen is frozen, I cannot interact with the game, no sound effects occur, and it tells me "An unexpected error has occured. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV. 2021-11-27_12:20" followed by one of those error codes, but does not actually close the game. I cannot normally quit the game either, and am forced to "force quit" the program since I can no longer interact with it or play. So, I will be doing normal things when suddenly the error boxes appears and I can no longer interact with the game, only the music continuing as all other signs of the game functioning stop and I can't close the program like normal. This has occurred while in cutscenes, while in trials, while in dungeons, while crafting, and while just standing (specified later). As far as I can tell there are no warning signs that it's about to happen.

I never had a crash of this type before the Endwalker Early release. I've used the same laptop/Mac, client, controller, cord, and Wi-fi for nearly a year, so the only thing that seems to have changed is that I downloaded Endwalker. I haven't been unable to do anything specific as far as I can tell, and there doesn't seem to be a common cause, it's just that the game crashes and I am forced to quit and log back in, which puts me back in (a typically 2-6,000 person) queue. I would like to know why it's crashing and hopefully stop the crashes, because it's preventing me from being able to play the game since at any time while playing my game can crash and I am then unable to play for several hours.

Area: In cutscenes in Garlemald and Elpis and the Lochs, while crafting in Sharlayan, while in the Mothercrystal EX Trial, while in the special area before you do the final trial against the Endsinger for the first time, while standing in Shirogane, and while in the Tower of Zot.
Housing: Shirogane (not inside a residence)

Steps:
1. Multiple types of gameplay, see above (cutscene, crafting, battle, standing)
2. Screen freezes, 2 error boxes appear instantly. Control is taken away and errors say the game is going to exit. Gameplay ceases
3. I force quit the game because I can no longer play.
4. Some time later I attempt to rejoin the game and play it normally, until a crash happens again.

(Step 1 could be substituted as: be in a cutscene, be fighting and hitting buttons, be crafting and potentially hitting bttons, be standing and not touching buttons)

I also got this error while in queue. I had gotten down to 32 in queue before me when it happened and when I loaded the game back up was thrown all the way back to 3,001.

I didn't experience the issues of having to force close out the game, but that sounds incredibly frustrating

I got exact same error on my iMac 27” 2019 since the Endwalker started. The error come up randomly whatever I play battles, watching cutscene or moving fields. I never had such error until version 5.55.

Can confirm this is happening to me as well. Without running a timer it seems to happen every 4-6 hours consistently. It mostly happens in duties but it has happened in the overworld as well. Occasionally it happens when I launch the game client as well, same error but instead the code is "setupapi.dll+16F92". One thing to note is that, presumably due to timezones, the error message I see reads as "An unexpected error has occured. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV. 2021-11-27_15:20". The error message always lists that exact date and time. Also it looks like a windows error box, not a mac one. Here are my specs:

Seems like it's a mac thing. I keep getting the same errors in the middle of game play on my mac. I am also using a PS4 controller. don't know if that's a thing..

Can we get a fix please?

Replying to my previous post in order to state that I do not own a Mac. I play on an HP Victus. I'm not at home so I can't get the specs for this right now

I also have this issue on my Mac mini also.
I have noticed the sound usually stops a few seconds like 10-30 before the game freeze up. Its happened most of the time during cut-scenes.

I just got this error for the first time, while trying to get back into the game after a 2002 error in the queue. I don't speak Japanese and don't know what it says, but it looks similar to my previous errors apart from being in Japanese and having a different error code.https://ibb.co/sjVg88H. I'm on PC and I'm getting an error every time I power up my PS4 controller (Plugged with a wireless USB adapter to the PC) while the game is running. It's the same kind of error with "2021-11-27_15:20". This has only been happening since Endwalker pre-launch.

I've found that I can just move it away and play the game and it doesn't crash. I don't have a fix but this could help others for now, I guess...

I'm on a Mac getting the same error. It freezes and then I get two popups:
ntdll.dll+27963
ntdll.dll+28131

I thought it might be because I have macOS Monterey (I downloaded the game with it installed already, and it runs smoothly other than the freezes I've been getting).

When it freezes I have to Force Quit and then restart the game.

I have a PS4 controller that I've been using via bluetooth and wired. Freezes have happened with both modes of usage.

The freezes have happened in full screen mode as well as windowed.

I tried adjusting my graphics in the client to be much lower. The freeze still happened.

I close out of all other applications (other than the system apps) while playing the game, so the game is the only application running.

After like the 10th freeze (multiple hours of play time lost each time) I decided to search for the error and see if it's related to Monterey or some other issue.

It seems like it may have to do with the PS4 controller as that is common in this thread and this has happened to Zayk above who is on PC (although not the exact same error), so it may not be exclusive to Mac. I'm curious if this is also happening to anyone using keyboard + mouse.

I downloaded the game last week during the pre-release of Endwalker.
