Hello! While I have ever loved the battle music and to this day still do, I noticed something new that sadly was a negative thing during Shadowbringers. But to my surprise, without having voiced it, it no longer is the case in Endwalker. I don't know if this is on purpose or not. But it is so great!
So, during Shadowbringers, it was the first time I enabled battle music as it was so good.
But during MSQ, immersing myself in the story with the music is so important, but when I accidentally aggroed a mob, the music and immersion disappeared by hardcore metal song and thus enforced me to disable it so I could not be interrupted by the mood change.
Now, in Endwalker, they have somehow made it so that during MSQ you do not hear the battle music when aggroing during MSQ, and while this may be a small thing of importance, this has been such an amazing thing to me!!!!
I can keep it enabled and not lose my immersion!!! I wanted to thank SE for keeping this in mind!! <3

I assume you mean when you're experiencing MSQ-override music, like the realy out-of-place 2-hour long grind of 'talk to this npc and that one and this one' in Labyrinthos. Honestly, Id rather have had to the mob aggro music. It was torture and made me give up on it for a whole three days.

It was actually in Labyrinthos that the battle music did occur even during MSQ, which as you stated, I absolutely had no objections to.... because indeed, I felt the same way. I must say it is the first time I was utterly disappointed with the BGM that they would use old dungeon music for a zone.... music I am sick of hearing, so I don't see myself returning there voluntarily unless gathering/quest or necessity.....Quote:
