I am new to the game and i am already level 16 as a gladiator (got the weekend i started off work so i had alot of time on my hands :P ) One of my Linkshell friends says they have abolished the entire system and id like to know if that is true or not.
Yes, Guild Marks have been abolished. The only reason the npcs are still there are so older players can turn in any Guild Marks they have for either Materia or gil.
Guild marks? Man I played at release but forgot what they are lol. I was so stoked at release thinking my computer could handle the game, and then it played horribly, it's the main reason I quit.
Previously, you sometimes got them as rewards for leves instead of gil. You could use them to purchase additional abilities or traits. These additional abilities and traits were rendered obsolete by the ability and item recipe reforms of...1.18? 1.19? Thereabouts.
