Smooth Job Changing Particularly DoH / DoL, One Job All Jobs

When you're crafting and you find a component you need from another craft, or you're gathering and you have the other job's resource search ability on and find a node of interest.. Just interact with that node, or that recipe, the game will automatically move you to the other job.


Making DoH / DoL relatively seamless process, as if it was all 'one job'.


Changing jobs while isn't a huge hassle.. is still a little bit of a hiccup in the whole thing that is mildly annoying (this isn't a serious issue, I just imagine it could be made unnesccary). I feel it would be really cool if you could apply your gear set to a setting in the game such that when you do certain actions it'll automatically change you into that job. Can be saved locally to reduce bothering the server with storing this sort of stuff. For example I am on alchemist and I see I need something from goldsmith, I go to the recipe I hit craft. The game automatically changes me into my goldsmith gear set and plops me down. Or I approach a mining node as botanist, it automatically switches me to miner.

A bonus option that I think would be pretty handy for the next suggestion is having the game auto switch you back after the interaction is over. Like once done gathering the miner node when you were a botanist it would switch you back to botanist.

Even better if you could choose to have the miner, botanist, and fisher resource node abilities on when you're a DoW / DoM. Then I could be a SMN approach a node and automatically switch to miner, finish up, and automatically continue on as SMN. DoH / DoL becoming seamless in pretty much all scenarios. I feel in many situations involving DoH / DoL such a system could be used to pretty much never have to "pick" the job, it just happens.

I think it's a bit less helpful for DoW / DoM specifically but potentially an example of this for DoW / DoM would be if I was doing job specific quests. If on miner or say SMN doing a bard quest it would automatically switch me to bard. I don't think it would be good to have it do a generic swap though because the player should probably choose where the exp goes to. Unless I suppose there was an option for generic situations to pick the lowest exp job that can do the content, which would work very well for some people. In that example you might be miner, talking to an npc with DoW / DoM quest- it automatically changes you to your lowest level job that meets the requirements (level 80, you have a level 81 DRK so it picks that). In general I think it's less helpful looking at the system from DoW / DoM perspective, but I think there is a lot of fluidity to be gained when looking at DoH / DoL.

One thing might be adding to turn off, edit, perhaps choose differently, the job change sound / effect (or make it more subtle or something, so the process is smoother).

Final note might be improving job transitions, such that they work on % not hp total. Currently going from Paladin to Miner and then back to Paladin is a great way to lose 90% of your hp, which is a bit unfortunate.
