PS5 Adaptive triggers a PC exclusive?

The game has been out on PS5 since May 25th but has yet to implement the use of a PS5 controller's additional buttons. The adaptive triggers are used for 3-5 quests with a single button push threshold not utilizing the technology correctly. I’m forced to draw the conclusion that no developers correctly understand the capability of the technology or haven’t played other PS5 titles with a PS5 controller to see how they're used by other publishers. As of 6.0 there was a patch that added PS5 controller support to the PC version. The update allows players on PC to remap the controller to utilize the adaptive triggers. The majority of PS5 players have wanted this functionality since launch but have heard nothing about the feature. I will add a link at the bottom of the post that shows how one person in a few hours of the patch being out remapped the triggers to add the functionality.

What are adaptive triggers?
Adaptive triggers add additional button mapping into the L2 and R2 triggers. Once the triggers are pushed half way there is a noticeable pressure threshold then they can be pushed in again to register a new mapped button.

How should they be used?
Rather than constantly having to double press L2 or R2 for hotbars the first half of the trigger would be R2 or L2 and the 2nd pressure threshold would be equal to double tapping L2 or R2. For example a shooter would use the first R2 threshold to fire and the 2nd threshold for alt fire.

What I would like?
Are we able to get a confirmation that this will be passed on to a developer or a timeline of when the PS5 controller functionally will be added to the PS5 version?

While there are other features not utilized, for example the PS5’s built-in speech-to text capabilities. A ps5 title should utilize ps5 technology as there isn’t a noticeable difference between playing on a PS4 pro and a PS5. The PS5 title has better rumbling and slightly faster loading. Of all the features, the adaptive triggers would be the biggest quality of life change to the game to truly make it a PS5 title that can use a PS5 controller's functionality. Feel free to google “FF14 adaptive triggers” and you will see no shortage of PS5 users asking about how to use them.

I've heard some things here and there about the haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support but a definite answer would be nice. I've been using rewasd to do something similar to what that post you shared from reddit details, and it's how I was playing with a controller and mouse up till Endwalker hit.

Mods is there a process to get this issue on the radar? I'm adamant about this issue due to the ps5 controller being built differently. In 4 months of playing I've already had to have the trigger springs replaced. Without adaptive triggers I would prefer to play with a ps4 controller due to the triggers compressing less and being more durable but that isn't available on ps5.
